This is a reservation request only and does not guarantee site availability.
After the request is received, a reservation specialist will follow up within 48 hours via email.
The confirmation email contains a link to enter your payment details. Payments are not processed until the reservation is confirmed.
Payment is required in full for confirmation and is non-refundable.
Holiday reservations require a 3 night minimum.
For groups larger than 4 sites, please contact the office directly.
Sites includes up to 4 people. Charges will apply for additional people.

One Unit Per Site: Base price of each site includes one unit (tent, camper, etc) and up to 4 people. Each additional person will need to pay an additional fee per night ($10 nightly); with a maximum of 8 people per site. One additional unit may be added to each site at an additional fee, for a maximum of 2 units per site (one camper & one tent, or two tents). Must be pre-approved in the office.
Visitors: Must be registered campers only. Must be registered and paid upon making reservations via phone or website. This is for security reasons and No exceptions.
Cars: Only two cars are allowed per site. Additional parking will be available at the front desk area. ALL cars must be registered at the front desk.
The Gate: All vehicles entering the grounds must stop at the gate. Ensure your vehicle pass is visible from your windshield to have the gate opened. The gate allows only one vehicle through at a time. Please follow this guideline to prevent damage to your vehicle. Exit the gate by pulling up to it slowly and it will open automatically. The gate closes for entrance when the office is closed.
Pets: Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times and should not be tied to trees. Pets must never be left unattended at the campsite. No pets are allowed in the common areas of the campground. Children are not permitted to walk dogs.
Swimming Pond: Open 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM. No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk. All pond users must wear a wristband. All children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Daily visitors using pond must have someone over 16 with a vehicle on site for transportation in case of emergencies.
Restrooms/Laundry: Buildings are open 24 hours. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 8.
Speed Limit: The speed limit is 5 MPH. We have a lot of children at play, so please abide by the speed limit and keep them safe! You will only be given 1 warning and then you must leave your vehicle parked by the office.
Playground: Children under 8 must be accompanied by adult. Closes at 8pm.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM and are strictly enforced. Management will monitor the campground. Please keep music at an appropriate level. Children under the age of 17 must be back to their campsite by dusk.
Garbage: Whispering Pines has a recycling program. Please follow the directions on the bins located near the office for proper handling of garbage and recyclables.
Smoking: Smoking is not allowed in any common areas of the campground. Please limit smoking to designated areas and campsites only.
Bikes, rollerblades, skateboards are not allowed in the entry of the park or near the office. No ATVs, scooters or mopeds are allowed on the grounds.
Campers are responsible for their guests/visitors. Profanity and unreasonable conduct will not be tolerated. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
Some visitors enjoy sharing the pleasures of camping with their dogs or cats. To ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, Whispering Pines has established some guidelines.
Before You Arrive:
Call ahead. Check with us about specific pet policies. Pets are not allowed in Cabins, for example. We also can’t accept certain breeds that our insurance provider has identified as having a history of aggression.
Bring your helper. Service dogs are welcomed at Whispering Pines; however, leash rules and other pet policies still apply.
After You Arrive:
Good behavior is required. Dogs of any breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground, along with their owners.
Bring the leash. Dogs must be kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet when outside their owners’ vehicles or rental units. Never tether dogs to the trees, and don’t leave tethered dogs unattended.
Children are not permitted to walk dogs.
No pets are allowed in the common areas of the campground, including the beach/pond area.
Remember manners. Constant barking bothers other campers. If your pet is too vocal, you’ll need to find other accommodations.
Reservations are paid in full at time of reservation and are non-refundable including for weather and COVID-19 related reasons. Please contact the office regarding your re-booking options in lieu of cancellation.
Whispering Pines is following COVID-19 guidelines for campgrounds from the La Crosse County Public Health Department. This may result in some campground amenities being unavailable such as the pond, cabana house, and jumping pillow. Scheduled activities and events may also be modified or postponed. This is for the protection of our campers and staff.
We are currently not allowing daily or nightly visitors, no exceptions. If a person was not included in your party at the time of the reservation, they will not be allowed on the grounds.
In addition to the no visitors rule, our restrooms and showers are closed.
Because the situation is frequently evolving, you will be notified of any changes to our policies upon check-in.
